This time Datje van Reijendam, Strategic Business and Impact Developer will talk about "Doing Business Doing Good, How did I end up in Africa!."

Datje is the founder and principal consultant of Okumera Consulting; a strategic facilitator of project-based business mainly in development zones, especially in Africa. Due to many years of work experience in Europe, the Far East and the African continent, Datje has been passionate about raising awareness and implementing sustainable social economic development projects.

Her experience is based on nearly 30 years of working in highly commercial environments in the commercial and textile industry in Europe and the Far East, emphasizing her role as the general manager of an ICT service provider company in Kenya.

She established her own brand of chocolate (which became a finalist in the "Symrise new food product competition") in South Africa and worked in conjunction with NGOs in Uganda and South Africa.

Over the years, Datje has built an extensive network of contacts within government organizations, commercial institutions and NGOs in Africa.

Datje has a talent for connecting people and organizations and a good ability to identify business opportunities.
