How many credits equal a course?

For Anahuac Mayab University, the following apply:

  • A course of 6 credits is equivalent to 45 hours in the classroom per semester (15 weeks). In addition, the student has to do homework and where appropriate, hours of laboratory.
  • A course of 9 credits is equivalent to 90 hours in the classroom per semester. In addition, the student has to do homework and where appropriate, hours of laboratory.

In our university you will find that the vast majority of courses are equivalent to 6 credits.

Here is a list of credit hours per week per semester, so you can serve as a reference when selecting your subjects
